About
This 55-acre site in north Liverpool, Long Lane, opened for burials in 1880. It suffered bomb damage during World War 2, evidence of which can still be seen today via shrapnel markings on many of the older memorials. The cemetery lodges are still intact and retain much of their former glory as private dwellings. Many of the cemetery buildings are Grade II listed.
